| "Perfectly" means it doesn't use DRI at all. If you get this running
| properly, it's actually a big step forward.

well im happy to play around. i just dont know what the state of things
is and what needs to be done etc. id like to see my mac hardware
(my ibook firewire and my imac dv) have better video support and
also better sound support (but no one seems to be developing
sound too much)

| Most likely, you need to add the line
|
| Option "ForcePCIMode" "Yes"
|
| to the Driver section of XF86Config-4.

ok.

| You did get a warning when you installed, didn't you?

yeah but im too pridefull to ever take notices of warnings.
i just assumed, bah! i dont have scsi i dont need an initrd.img
then woops! no ext3 in the kernel. but i also leave the old
kernel configured to no biggy.

|
| This is alright, most drivers that were previously built into the
| kernel are now built as modules. If you want a slightly smaller
| initrd, put MODULES=dep in /etc/mkinitrd/mkinitrd.conf.
