Standard reply: Remove CONFIG_MAC_SERIAL, the driver is deprecated.
If you need to use the modem on your Pismo, CONFIG_SERIAL_PMACZILOG
will get you the new driver.  But make sure you are using at least
2.6.5-rc2-ben0, it contains fixes for some rather nasty bugs.
