Regrettably, this advice isn't good enough. There are other messages (one or 
two from me) that deal with this issue. I populate, but then when I want to 
get my client to boot, it only get so far. In fact, the text of the related 
message goes like this:

"However, at boot  time I get the following:

Boot-NFS: No NFS server available, giving up
VFS: Unable to mount root fs via NFS, trying floppy
VFS: Cannot open root device "nfs" or 02:00
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 02:00"

There never was a satisfactory reply to this that I remember.
