It's looking like pdisk is not a very swift tool for creating Mac
partitions. I'm thinking I need to revise those instructions! Try
doing it the way we say in the installation manual instead, that is,
use Drive Setup from the Mac CD to completely re-do your disk from the
ground up (unfortuanately it doesn't allow you to work with individual
partitions, it will only work on the whole disk). Make one partition
each for Linux, Shared HFS, Mac OS9, and OSX in that order.

Then install OS9 and OSX on those partitions. There is some HOWTO on
installing OSX, I think it takes the partition you save for it and
splits it into several.

When you have finished installing OS9, it should show the shared
partition on the desktop, put the 4 files on there.

Finally, go back to Open Firmware and try booting yaboot. In other
words, avoid pdisk altogether.

I'm thinking pdisk has screwed up the partitions so well that
OpenFirmware can't read off of them now.

This is a lot of work, I know, are you still with us?
