I think that I should have written "almost all the
behaviours". :-)
If I am not mistaken, BenH once said that he suspected that
ignoring the trackpad while tapping is something probably
related to some timeout that MacOS X implements.
I don't think that trackpad supports this currently. At least
it would be nice to have this timeout be implemented, say, via
a /proc/sys entry (as it would be the case with the current
modes of operation of trackpad).
But I don't know if implementing this would be the start of
one of those endless threads of "if this belongs to the kernel
or to userspace". :-)
Anyway, I do think that a feature like this would be nice to
have in a cross platform way, since I also have the same
problems with my old Compaq Armada V300.
