Are you sure?  On my G4 I swear I got an older version working w/ just Driver
"fbdev".

Option "fbdev" "/dev/fbX" ?  This doesn't need a BusID as well, then, right?

Well, I'm only guessing what Geert ment, but when using the fbdev X driver,
how can you bang the hardware directly?
