I did check the ML-archive but I guess I am more confused than I was
before. So if you set up yaboot correctly there should be no problem
installing from official CDs?

Did the drive fail? Is it a good drive? See, I worked a long time so I
can afford a Laptop and I want everything to work reliable (sound
doesn't matter). I had bad luck with a Fujitsu-Lifebook and had to
sent it back.
