If you want to try the ati driver, copying the fbdev Device Section and adding
Option "UseFBDev" may work. Good luck :)

Note that the 3.3 way of using a mode "default" doesn't work anymore. You need
to use an empty Modes line (or none at all) for the fbdev driver to use the
default mode.
