This loses some of the reason why Debian is in there, which is to say that
the Debian *package* needs a maintainer, not just that the software needs
to be maintained upstream.  (I really wish we could fix this problem by
renaming Debian Maintainers to something that doesn't keep making
ambiguities everywhere.)

Maybe "maintainer in Debian"?  Or "maintainer for Debian"?
