flushing old bugs
Hi,
I tried to be a bit of help in flushing old policy entries. The
purpose of this mail is to identify any entry that's easy flushable.
So, if anyone disagrees, that's enough for me to not flush them.
"Flush" for the bugs below means to tag them fixed (and close them
after half a year). Furthermore, I intend to close any bug that's been
marked "fixed" for at least half a year.
I've started going through the bug list, and made my annotations to
each bug. Any comments are welcome.

well, that's too much history for me. Either do it, or don't do it, but
decide on it.

Should be done IMHO (refers to Section 9.3.3.2), and is just changing
example code; means: retitle to PROPOSAL first
#218893 debian/rules.version file [Fix for the build-arch problem]
Add some special way so that dpkg-buildpackage can figure out what
targets are there. Well, proper way would be to set severity to wishlist
and wait whether someone makes a proposal out of it.
#222553 policy 11.5.3 refers to using the menu package to register docs
very fresh; should IMHO be wishlist until it's a proposal and has two
seconds.
#222779 debian-policy: [PROPOSAL] deb specifications and signed debs extension
well, missing a deb specification _is_ a bug IMHO; but unless it's seconded
by at least two DDs it should be wishlist. Furthermore, it's so difficult
that we really need a text first before putting it to the next stage.
