Dear debian-perl group members,
I'm a student in bioinformatics at the TU Munich. My main interest is
genome-wide research on different levels (DNA, RNA, Proteins) and the
correspoding -omics. Mostly this means to write short scripts in perl or
any other scripting language, in order to parse outputs and generate
useful information.
I started learning perl during my bachelor thesis and now I am in a
course of Laszlo Kajan, where we learn basics in maintaining a lab
infrastructure based on open source.
Until now, I never learned how to get a piece of software into a
package, so that others can use it, too. Thanks to Laszlo and
(hopefully you guys), this secret will be disclosed and I will be able
to give something back to the open-source community.
What I can contribute:

I'm quite good in Perl, Python, PHP and C/C++. I am willing to learn and
able to learn quickly. I'm a native speaker in german language, but
communication in english is no problem for me.
