Re: Bug#525097: libapache2-authcassimple-perl: REMOTE_USER not set in ENV

Hi there:

The upstream changelog says:

"0.09 Wed, 22 Apr 2009 12:33:26 +0200
    - revert use of CGI, better fix up for REMOTE_USER bug"

So it looks as if it has been patched. However the module is pending
an update/refresh from the upstream source, so we'll definitely look
into that. It should be an issue flagged on the PET.

Incidentally, you appear to be the upstream maintainer, so I'm not
sure why you filed the bug report with us. The text of your report is
a bit misleading; if anything, the package needs to be updated, but
it's not a bug we'd be on point to fix in the first place. Debian
patches should, to my knowledge, come only after it has been
determined that a) it's important for the bug to be fixed (ie
especially for security vulnerabilities); and/or b) the upstream
maintainer is not answering bug reports.

Hope this helps. Let us know if we can do anything else for you.

Cheers,

Jonathan
