Package: openoffice.org-debian-files
Version: 1.1.3-3+1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

The command "oowriter" produces the following output:

OpenOffice.org for Debian - see
/usr/share/doc/openoffice.org/README.Debian.gz
running openoffice.org setup...
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/setup: line 176:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/setup.bin: No such file or directory
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/setup: line 176: exec:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/setup.bin: cannot execute: No such file or
directory
setup failed (code 0).. abort
---- Please read /usr/share/doc/openoffice.org/README.Debian.gz for
known problems -----

If I try to directly launch /usr/lib/openoffice/program/swriter, I
receive the following output:

/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice: line 232:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/pagein: No such file or directory
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice: line 245:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: No such file or directory
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice: line 245: exec:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: cannot execute: No such file or
directory

I have removed .openoffice and .sversionrc to ensure that the problem
does not lie in my configuration. I am reporting this bug against
openoffice.org-debian-files because oowriter (and other programs) are
included in that package. I suspect that the problem may involve other
openoffice packages.

Your openoffice.org-bin package installation is corrupted. Be it by the
fs or some other means. Those files *are* normally there.

Err? Did you actually read the above message? soffice.bin is msissing...

-bin to be precise.

And as this bug looks really like no bug but a local problem on your PC I am
closing it.

And btw, oowriter etc are just wrapper scripts running the "normal"
stuff, so if the "normal" stuff breaks the report belongs to
openoffice.org/-bin.
