Is there a standard package that I can adapt?

I do find it a waste of resources to have many different myspell
packages separately packaged. Also, for many languages no myspell
package exists, although the dictionary files are available from the
openoffice.org site. Why isn't there a package that downloads all
dictionaries and creates packages for them? It would be more work than
a single myspell package for one language, but not much more for someone
with some packaging experience, I would think.
