We are not at that stage in the development cycle. I've checked this stuff
in to share it with Rene, Martin and anyone following along, but I haven't
even built it myself yet. I have only verified that the patchset applies
and am waiting for further problems to appear. If you want a buildable
version you should stay with the previous version.

(A good indicator that someone has managed to build successfully is a checkin to
one of the MANIFEST files).

My guess would be that fakeroot will work now, but I can't confirm until
I've built it on Woody.

Which instructions are you thinking of? If you're talking about the
website, I don't have access to it myself and Jan has been moving house and
not been around here for a while.

You can get the new source tarball from here:

  http://people.debian.org/~halls/openoffice/1.1rc3/openoffice.org_1.0.99+1.1rc2pre3.orig.tar.gz
(This is only a temporary tarball until the real rc3 is tagged.)

Unpack that and add the debian/ directory from CVS.

Chris
