Thanks for working out what needs to be added to the desktop files.  Those
files are actually generated by a script - you can see it at:

The patch needs to take the form of a patch to this script - one that adds
an extra paramater to the createControl function, and passes the extra
Category information in this parameter.  That way, the change can be passed
upstream and integrated there for everyone to use, and we do not have the
danger of things breaking every time we build a new version.
