I've looked at the massxpert source package. I would say this is a good packaging work, the package is lintian clean and installs cleanly. I also had a look at http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2006/07/04/debian/pool/main/p/polyxmass/ too. From these observations I would recommand to accept Filippo as a Debian Maintainer.
