You are more than welcome to join the pkg-multimedia project (which is
the alioth group name). However, there is a bit of a shortage of DD
manpower there too, so you may want to start by introducing yourself and
seeing the reactions on the list.
It does happen for some packages to be ready but not uploaded yet
because no DD is currently available in the team :(.
