openssl's license is incompatible with GPL and the combined work of
cryptmount+libssl would be in violation of cryptmount's license.  It
wouldn't be distributable at all.  You'll either have to get upstream
relicense cryptmount with an exception to allow linking to libssl or
remove that dependency somehow.  Perhaps it could be written to use
gnutls instead?

I'm afraid this won't be sufficient to avoid the above problem, if
that was what you tried to do with this.  We couldn't include
cryptmount even in non-free as it is.
