You don't have to use it. Be glad that the correspondent uses
Outlook and not Outlook Express. Then just get on with business.

Instead, you prefer to pick up on such things and start completely
off-topic and senseless threads on mailing lists?

You are not going to be able to cure the disease, so cure the
symptoms instead: improve your own mail system to handle these
better. I almost never see any messages in my inbox which can be
attributed to Windows.
