A VistA Debian package is like a Linux installer ISO image. It's a tool that will let you create new VistA environments on your computer,

So we only need one VistA Debian package, that contains just this 'installer' and everything else is done by KIDS.
[KSB] Correct. The installer will be updated from time to time of course as updates are bundled into the installer as upstream developers apply KIDS packages.

Now, the meta packages are a little more interesting. We could have a vista meta-package that is satisfied by one of worldvista-ehr, openvista, etc.
