why am I getting that now ?

There is no such list:

     debian-med@lists.alioth.debian.org
                      ^^^^^^

There is a list

      debian-med@lists.debian.org

which is for general discussion about Debian Med development and
there is a list

      debian-med-commit@lists.alioth.debian.org
                 ^^^^^^ ^^^^^^

which recieves the SVN commits to the alioth project and might be
used to discuss a certain commit. I just changed the list because
I felt it apropriate for debian-med@lists.debian.org and you perhaps
missed the fact that this list is not hosted on alioth.debian.org

Kind regards

        Andreas.

I'm afraid I do not understand this parapgraph. Above you seem to
agree that building a separate package and now you call it a no-op?
