It's definitely possible.  I had imagined that people expect that tcl
bindings work with the default tcl version.  However, I'm really not
sure what the expectations are and the tcl/tk policy doesn't provide
much guidance here.  If you have thoughts on this matter, please
follow up to my debian-devel post on this topic, of yesterday.

Well, I'm personally completely Tcl/Tk illiterate and thus I will not
argue about this.  My motivation to ship my WordNet package was simply
that I expect to become the latest upstream the default finally and
wanted to see whether some trouble might occure.  The resulting GUI
looked nicer regarding the fonts and there was no problem detected so
I sticked to this and sended upstream the good news that their code
also works with latest Tcl/Tk.

Just forget my question and stick to whatever Tcl/Tk team suggests
you to do on debian-devel.
