make-live iso exits with cryptic message

after last live-package update, make-live iso exits with

P: Configuring package mount
P: Configuring package debconf-i18n
P: Configuring package debconf
E: Couldn't install system due to errors!

nothing else .... is it possible to download previous versions, at least ?
