I was hoping this problem had been fixed...

I pointed out this very issue on debian-legal back in September _2004_:

Steve McIntyre stated that cdrtools should have been forked from a
version prior to the license "clarifications":

I thought that this was going to happen soon, and then had no more time
to follow the issue.
Now I see that the issue is still there!  :-((

How can such a package still be in main with this non-freeness?
I'm surprised that nobody filed a serious bug for this...

ITYM dvd+rw-tools, since dvdrtools is in non-free too...
