There's no caselaw that I am aware of covering this particular issue defining precisely where a derived work ends and a separate, non-derived work begins in the context of dynamic linking. If you have a few hundred thousands dollars to spend defining this particular grey area via caselaw, feel free to do so. Until then, there's not much that Debian can, or should do, but follow a reasonable, conservative interpretation. Don Armstrong -- UF: What's your favourite coffee blend?
