On the 3 nvidea- packages.

There are 2 alternatives, and as a user of these packages I
would prefer both to be used.

A. Replace by an installer in contrib, this would provide
  earlier access to more recent drivers, as upstream has its own
  release cycles.

B. For a large, but incomplete subset of the functionality, DFSG
  drivers are already in the standard kernel and XFree packages
  in main.

So keep doing B. (obviously) and do A. as a package improvement
that happens to qualify for contrib.
