BSD-like freedom (was Re: KDE not in Debian?)

Here's my take on BSD-like freedom:

I've got more than a dozen boxes (from F5) running BSD software.
I'm not free to redistribute this software.  I don't even have access
to the source code for this software.  To upgrade this software requires
serious money.
