No sound after resume on IBM ThinkPad T22

Package: kernel-image-2.6-686
Version: 2.6.7-2
Severity: normal

(no, I have not filed a bug yet, but I will if necessary)

When using kernel-image 2.4.*, with APM, the laptop sleeps when I
close the lid; when I open the lid again everything works fine.

With kernel-image-2.6.6-1-686 and kernel-image-2.6.7-1-686, the kernel
uses ACPI by default. I had to add one file to make suspend to RAM
work: /etc/acpi/events/lid. Here is the contents of this file:

event=button/lid
action=echo "mem" > /sys/power/state

With this, suspend to RAM works. To resume, I now have to press the
power button in addition to opening the lid, but it works. The only
problem is that sound does not work anymore after resume. Do I need
to do something special to make sound work after resume? Or is this a
bug in the kernel?

Here are the modules that are loaded:
