RE: Console does not display all the lines



Thanks Frans,

I have downloaded the boot.img and root.img floppy images.

Do I have to download the CD image as well?

It looks to me that it's trying to download the different components off the
network, not from the CD. At this moment I don't have a permanent internet
connection. :-(

I see that this installation process has changed quite a bit. I still have
the problem seeing fewer lines on my console. :'-(

If you're installing Woody, you may want to try the new Debian Installer and

install Sarge instead.

Debian Installer is available from [1]. Try the link to the Ports Status
Page.
I'd advice the daily builds as they are very close to the release of the
first 
Release Candidate.

I recently had a very successful install on a Satellite A40, but I'm
guessing 
your machine is an older model.
