Hello,

This ACPI and patch *thing* has been very interesting. I had never used
standard kernel source, only the Debian source. I had never used the patch
command either. The whole experience was "learning by doing." Since I run
Libranet (Debian made easy), I wanted to do this in such as way as to keep it
both Debian and Libranet-centric. I've outlined all the steps I used in
adding the ACPI patch (ck6) as well as the backports of some of the x
enhancements from 2.5 experimental kernel tree (rmap, 020_int) here:
http://libranetlinux.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=6067#6067

Thank you Jeremy for dropping the link to Con's kernel patch page, and of
course, thank you Con for specific help!

Wishing you well.
