If you both share the same ~/.Xauthority file, then it should be fine.
or you can merge your xauthority files - give each other read access and
do
xauth merge ~user1/.Xauthority (as user2)
and
xauth merge ~user2/.Xauthority (as user1)
that should do it for you
(also this has been discussed many times on debian-user, check the
archives :) )
