Likewise with any of the other laptops that use a touchpad. I
just installed Debian on a Sony VAIO and am finding the
touchpad pretty awkward. There are settings under MS Windows
that allow things like a clock to simulate holding the mouse
button down that I would really like to see under X.
I wonder where they would best go? Could something like that
be added to 'gpm'? That seems like the most likely place.
I did find a tool at http://www.compass.com/synaptics/
that might help. At present, I have not gotten it working
on the VAIO
