What about adding it in /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh (With an param to disable it
on bootprompt with nodma)

Not bug in knx-hdinstall, but in genliloconf.
The initrd is not inserted into there ...
Just add: initrd=/boot/initrd.gz
to the /etc/lilo.conf
Also add:
prompt
vga=791
Then its like it was with the nice lilo.conf, created by the script ...

PS: I had this problem (ext2) today, too, but it fixed itself by adding above
mentioned parameters ... so we just forgot to correctly use genliloconf ;-)
