You must get this change accepted in the upstream kernel first. Better still, submit dm-raid45 itself for inclusion in the kernel rather than maintaining it separately. (I notice that the upstream readme file says "This is Alpha software and it can destroy your data!" If the reason for not submitting it is that it's not ready, then it's not ready for Debian either.)
