Package: linux-image
Version: 2.6.18-5_amd64
I installed NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.07-pkg2.run with package-cfg xserver-xorg-dev
linux-headers build-essential module-assistant. The installation was correct, so
i execute /etc/init.d/gdm start and it worked. But later i execute
/etc/init.d/gdm stop and a lot of memory addresess with messages were shown with a
final message kernel panic.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 Etch, linux-image-2.6.18-5_i386 i own a celeron D
procesor and it runs NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.07-pkg1.run driver without problems.
As far as i know my computer arquitecture support i386 and amd64.

Thanks.

We don't support the binary-only modules from nvidia and similar.
