Package: linux-image-2.6.22-3-686
Version: 2.6.22-6.lenny1
Severity: important

There seems to be random reading errors when reading from my Seagate FreeAgent 500GB external USB hard drive. It becomes clear by an example:
# md5sum -c test02.avi.md5 ; md5sum -c test02.avi.md5 ; md5sum -c test02.avi.md5 ; md5sum -c test02.avi.md5 ; md5sum -c test02.avi.md5 ; md5sum -c test02.avi.md5 ; md5sum -c test02.avi.md5 ; md5sum -c test02.avi.md5

test02.avi is a file on device sda3 from the kernel log. When issuing a rmmod ehci_hcd, the same command returns OK every time.

Please let me know if I can be of any help. I would really like to see this issue resolved.
