Bug#346604: kernel errors after reboot
Package: linux-image-2.6.14-2-686
Version: 2.6.14-7
I have ALC880. When turn on machine it works fine. kern.log:
"Jan 9 03:20:07 newarrow kernel: hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC880, trying auto-probe from BIOS...
Jan 9 03:20:07 newarrow kernel: hda_codec: Cannot set up configuration from BIOS. Using 3-stack mode..."
After reboot i have no sound. kern.log:
"Jan 9 03:04:36 newarrow kernel: hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC880, trying auto-probe from BIOS...
Jan 9 03:04:36 newarrow kernel: hda_codec: num_steps = 0 for NID=0x8
Jan 9 03:04:36 newarrow last message repeated 3 times
Jan 9 03:04:36 newarrow kernel: hda_codec: num_steps = 0 for NID=0xb
Jan 9 03:04:36 newarrow last message repeated 19 times"
If i reboot again, i have same probs. this happens untill i halt machine. Then, it works fine again till next reboot.
I am using Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 with few upgrades from testing: alsa-base 1.0.10-3, libc6 2.3.5-6 (and its dependences) and linux-image-2.6.14-2-686 from unstable.
