Kernel-team: I have amde this bug priority important, because I feel like generating udev events before the deivce is actually usable makes udev even less reliable. If you disagree about the priority or whatever, feel free to handle it as you see fit. I must also note that the submitter is not using a Debian kernel, and I do not know if there are Debian patches to handle udev events better. If you don't feel like this is your problem, feel free to reassign it back and we'll find a way to kludge around it or something.
