Well, in most, if not all, aspects, the 2.6.12 and 2.6.14 kernels are better
than the 2.6.8 ones, and at least the kernel team officially recomends using
them, or the sarge backports we are or will be making available.

Obviously, they can't be part of a sarge update with current policies, nor be
a security upgrade.
