Package: kernel-source-2.4.27
Version: 2.4.27-2
Severity: important

	Hello,

I've compiled the kernel 2.4.27 and booted on a server with ICH4
chipset (D845GLVA). It panics when trying to load the USB2 driver module,
  ehci-hcd, with following messages :

  ehci_hcd 00:1d.7: Bios handoff failed (104, 1010001)
unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address
  00000048

  ...

kernel panic: attempted to kill init!

It seems to be known in lkml, see
  http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0408.1/0231.html

  with regards,

  		Fred.
