Thinko.  Of course I meant Adaptec, with the aic7xxx driver.

The keyspan_pda module by Brian Warner (USB Keyspan PDA Single Port Serial
Driver, USB Xircom / Entregra Single Port Serial Driver) is another example

Also the sym53c8xx_2 driver, though it is taking a rather different
approach.
