Answering here as main package of KOffice in Debian....

KOffice 2, as suite, is not fully ready for the masses, it is not only
my personal impression, you can read the same in the KOffice 2.1 release 
announcement at [0] in bold:

"should still only be used by early adopters and probably not as the primary
worktool."

If squeeze were to be released tomorrow, it would be without KOffice. 
About whether KOffice 2.2 will be in unstable, it is to be decided when it is
released.

Also, it would help enormously getting co-maintainers (see [1]).

That said, you can install it cleanly from experimental, then check if it is 
suitable for your needs. Very important: bug reports must go to upstream :)
