Yes I can confirm: http://bugs.debian.org/560893 and I forwarded upstream: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218467 I think I have been seeing this behaviour in other apps as well, enabling some of the plasma active wallpapers also seems to be pushing my CPU to 100%. :-( Mark
