They dont provide it because Swing is not complete (but mostly 
working). Other things like NIO are better supported. E.g. Tomcat 5.5 
and Eclipse 3 can be run with today's free runtimes. I don't call 
this useless. Its even possible to compile Eclipse 3 to native and 
use it.
