Thanks a lot - that all looks like very useful information. If I go
the route of upgrading (or trying to) my Woody 3.1.4 to 3.2.3, I'll
follow this advice and report back.

Indeed .. this would appear to be the "root of the problem". Gotta
happen sometime though.
