KDE VNC & Terminal Network Idea
I propose creating a Linux boot disk or a stripped-down Linux system that includes only X and a VNC client. The network computers/terminals could use VNC to log into the main server. Each user's session session would be stored on the server.
This would be an easy way to create a Linux network which could be used in an office environment. Each user would have a custom desktop and suite of applications.
Creation of such a network would be easy. Choose a high powered machine with this customized X/VNC-server Linux and a network of lower-powered cheap PCs as terminals.
Is this an original idea or merely a variation on something the Linux for Education group has proposed?
