KDE installation problems
I am running Woody mixed with Sarge.
Trying to update from KDE 3.05 to 3.1 KDE has been removed
by mistake.
According to David Pashley`s FAQ I tried to install it
again:
(Source: http://download.at.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0.5a/Debian/woody ./)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
apt-get update && apt-get install arts
kdelibs kdebase kdenetwork kdepim kdegraphics
kdeadmin kdemultimedia
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But it does not work that way.
I am able to install arts and kdelibs. Trying to install
kdebase, I get libs belonging to KDE 2.2.2.
Out of that package, kdewallpapers will not install and
installation stops.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I deleted "/usr/share/wallpapers/Ancient_Glyphs.jpg"
but the error remains the same.
I was able to install KMail again which I am using as
standard mailer but it is version 1.3.2 and it crashes at
once when I am trying to write a reply oder a forwarder
message.
So, at the moment, I can only read mails but not send any.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Lutz
