Hi! I experienced a noticeable slowdown on my machine (Athlon XP@1GHz w/ 128M of RAM), when upgrading KDE from 2.2.2 to 3.0.2. I'm using woody, with some unstable packages. Is the amount of memory an issue here? For example, the KDE startup takes something like 1m30s to a full session and starting KMail 30s alone. This can't be normal, according to what I've read. What are the key issues here? My hard drive has UDMA/100 configured and working. -- Jaakko Kyrö
