This is a known issue of KMail 2.2.2 (yes, it's a memory leak). I
think it's only noticeable if you have many folders and filters or
sth. like that. It has already been adressed a while ago but the fix
didn't make it into the KDE_2_2_BRANCH. So, it's fixed in the
upcoming KDE3 release but not in any 2.2 version of KMail.
